Three small, wooden land-surveyor clipboards for recording topography.

Postcards from France's colonial period in Algeria, each with a damaged French stamp. The stamp disappears under an imposed fold; the postcard is chipped. These two postcards show the vestiges of the conquest of ancient Rome in Algeria.

A photograph of a land-surveyor working to restore the Place de la République, printed on a squared sheet (postcard sized) and chipped. The man pauses in front of the lion and the ballot box at the feet of Marianne, representing universal suffrage.
